As local Durham photographers, we’ve spent a lot of time in this stunningly renovated building, and we’re going to be honest - it’s a wedding photographer’s dream. The light is incredible, the staircase is iconic, and the vibe is perfect for couples who want something modern yet historic.

Wedding Prep
This was one of those weddings where it possibly couldn’t be closer for us - Rebecca & Stephen literally live around the corner from us in Coxhoe!
We both visited Rebecca on the morning of the wedding to get some of her pre-wedding preparations.
The Ceremony
Welcome to The Story, Durham Registry Office! As we said previously, this beautiful new version of the office is - honestly - up there with some of the nicest in the area.
Rebecca and Stephen got married in the largest of the Story’s three wedding ceremony rooms, and it made for some beautiful photos with a cameo from their little boy, who just wanted to be close to his mam and dad.
The ceremony rooms at The Story are beautifully bright, which is rare for registry offices! We use the room’s stunning natural light to make sure your 'I do' moment looks airy and timeless.
It’s not just inside Durham’s Registry Office The Story that’s lovely! The beautiful building outside proves a great backdrop for group shots too.
Afterwards, we took Rebecca, Stephen and their little boy away to Wharton Park in Durham for some posed shots with just the three of them.

After the ceremony at The Story, Rebecca and Stephen headed to The Townhouse for an intimate meat feast. Whether you’re heading to a local Durham restaurant or a bigger venue, we’re experts at capturing the transition from 'Legally Married' to 'Ready to Party'

We’d highly recommend our half day package - 6 hours of coverage, plus 2 photographers included as standard for £800! Or you could even upgrade to our full day package!

6 Hours of Coverage - you pick the start time, we’ll bring the cameras (and the fun vibes!)!
2 Photographers - we ALWAYS come as a pair, even for our half day package! No hidden extra charges, just two people who are so in sync with each other, we got married ourselves and work amazingly as a pair of wedding photographers.
Pre-Wedding Planning - just like the full day package, you can expect to have a chat with us (and a good laugh too!) before your big day to make sure we know exactly what’s happening. Crystal will jot it all down and have it printed out, ready to pop in the front pocket of her signature dungarees to look at during the day!
The B&C Treatment- every shot is painstakingly selected, edited, checked, checked again (and probably checked again) to make sure all of your photos hit you squarely in the feels.
Custom Keepsake USB Box - it’s posh, it’s personal and it’s a place where your photos will always live!
Handy Online Gallery - use to share with your family and friends and allow them to download, print and obsess over how brilliant your big day was.
